Until now, we did not expect more from the furniture that is a part of our ordinary homes. The angular pieces that fit perfectly in our rooms actually limit our living spaces with a frame. The organic form, whose splashes we see in our country, which has now taken its place in our age, has gained a permanent place in human life in the world. In an interview with the world-famous designer Karim Rashid at the International Ceramic Bathroom Fair last year, he talks about the contrast of angular hard forms with the soft, sensitive and fragile human body, causing them to evolve into organic forms in spaces.

Colorful and unusual objects, which are perceived with the influence of our childhood, which we leave inside as we grow up, arouse a different excitement and curiosity in people. This has a positive impact on human life. While it should be quite normal for the places we live to cause some movements in our inner world, our not being used to this situation causes us to not think of demanding such excitements. People need to be aware of sitting, lying or standing. Once they feel these feelings, they will realize that they need it.

I started this chair by blending the organic forms of contemporary art with the forgotten knowledge of traditional origin, with such readings and my thoughts on it. The word coffee table in Old Persian means ‘seh-‘ three, ‘-pa’ foot. The reason for this is that three-legged chairs do not stand in balance and sway more on sloping or uneven ground than four-legged chairs. Of course, the fact that it has three legs also brings some problems. How the feet will be placed and how the seating will be was all about how to find a solution to the overturning disadvantage brought by the tripod. Again, the ordinary square seat is turned 45 degrees and a rectangular seat is aimed to prevent the center of gravity of people from leaning towards the rear by lowering the feet from the corners at the front and the side.

The back part is left empty in order to be light and not to look rough in terms of aesthetics. In this case, we thought about the lumbar support sections that we call the ‘ribs’ in the back area of the chair so that the back of people does not come into the gap when they lean.

Oppse Chair, which is also an experimental product, is intended to make people perceive it like a sculpture and to suspect that they can sit inside. It is ideal for those who want to have a functional piece of art in their home, who want to add a stylish piece to their office, and especially for the seating areas reserved for the audience in order to reflect the artistic understanding of fashion brands participating in fashion shows.
